Tess Willcox

CEO & MICE Partnerships


    Born in the wilderness of Western Australia’s Margaret River region, Tess has identified as somewhat of an eco-warrior from childhood. The older she gets, however, and the more she learns; the deeper the call to nurture the planet becomes. Travel is a non-negotiable in her life and it has always been her dream to continue exploring the world, something that is so core to her existence, in a way that is also regenerative to the planet. Cue WRD! Tess has been a crucial member of the team since 2004, when she joined the company as a Sales Executive fresh out of university with a Bachelor of Communications and dreams of becoming a travel journalist. Today, she is the sole owner and CEO of the business that has not only defined her career but has also allowed her to pursue her single greatest passion – championing environmental awareness.


    Narelle Christoffersen-Langton

    Resort Marketing Director


      Born in Fiji and hailing from a huge aviation family, Narelle spent her childhood listening to tales of travel and exploring the world on discounted staff travel. Her appetite for visiting new places grew into a deep appreciation for the people who make this experience memorable and sparked a dream to work with tourism bodies. She studied a Bachelor of Business majoring in Tourism Management, a Diploma in Marketing & Product Development and a Diploma in Tourism Operations systems. Narelle’s career spans multiple facets of the travel industry and is characterised by her innate respect for the South Pacific and desire to promote it. Her motivation is encouraging purposeful travel; connecting people and experiences, prompting better understanding, acceptance and cultural assimilation.



      Nina Richards

      Resort Marketing Director


        Nina is a born and bred Gold Coaster, with a mind that wanders and a heart that yearns for more. Sparked by travels throughout her life – from backpacking for three months throughout Europe and living in the winter wonderland of Whistler – she has an unquenchable thirst for travelling the world and preserving its beauty for future generations. With a Degree in Communications and over 10 years’ experience in the fashion and travel industry, her skills include developing integrated marketing strategies, executing PR and sales activities, social media management, content creation and campaign planning and execution. In her dream role of Resort Marketing Manager, Nina is responsible for curating our luxury clients’ suite of personalised services.



        Amelia Gregor

        Resort Marketing Manager


          Hailing from the Gold Coast, Amelia grew up camping and travelling with her family, which kindled a passion for exploring new places. Today, she finds excuses to get away – from weekend jaunts to international trips – as frequently as possible. Amelia joined WRD as our Networking and Marketing Representative with a degree in Marketing and Media and five years’ experience across her specialty fields: media planning, social media management, content creation, partnership and networking building. Her experience includes media planning for Jetstar; wedding and marketing planning in the Whitsundays; and living and working in Greece where she ran marketing strategies for a beach club. Her agency experience also includes such clients as Fitbit, South African Tourism and GoPro.



          Lauren Anderson

          Sales & Networking Manager


            As the daughter of two air-force parents, Lauren’s feet have never really touched the ground for long. A childhood full of adventures and a new home every couple of years led to a passion for all things exploration. Lauren has dedicated her career to a variety of roles across the tourism industry, with a move to London and a three-month solo backpacking trip thrown in for good measure. Previously Lauren has worked for Tourism Australia, Top Deck, Flight Centre and The Travel Corporation. Lauren is a passionate sustainability advocate having just completed her Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Tourism Management and is never seen without a keep-cup.


            Annie Kelly

            PR & Brand Director

              Annie’s passion for travelling was sparked at a young age when her parents plucked her out of school to go caravanning around Australia and she learned an important lesson that she still holds true today – there is no experience more enlightening, inspiring or humbling than travel. Annie’s career has been shaped not only by her infatuation with wayfaring but also by her affinity for words. She holds a dual degree in journalism and communications and her experience spans more than a decade working for some of the world’s leading hospitality companies and publications across her specialty fields – PR, copywriting, editing, corporate communications and branding. As the custodian of the WRD brand, she is responsible for elevating the company and our portfolio of world-class resorts.


              Lottie Gibson

              Resort Marketing Manager


                Originally from London, Lottie joined the WRD team as a Resort Marketing Manager, a passionate traveller and a dedicated digital marketing expert. She is equipped with a Bachelor of International Tourism Management & Business Management and a Diploma of Digital and Direct Marketing, and her experience spans the media and travel industry. Lottie’s previous roles include Sales & Marketing Manager at Escape Havens. Lottie is currently on maternity leave so her clients spread comprises her two beautiful baby girls #mumlife
